Tribal arts:
The major tribal arts performed in Wayanad are Vattakkali and Kooliyattam of the Paniyar tribe, Gadhika of the Adiyar tribe, Kolkali of the Kurumars and Nellukuttu pattu of the Kurichias.

Spices:
Cardamom, tea, pepper, ginger and cocoa are the major spices grown in the district. Sughandagiri Cardamom Project, Vvthiri and Priyadarshini Tea Instates at Mananthavady are experimental projects managed by the Government for the rehabilitation of tribals.
